I was there as a student in '78 (?) against number 1 ranked Duke. That night it held about 13,500!

however many the aisles could hold, literally two people sitting on every step you could see. Fire Marsall was definitely looking the other way that night. It was the Skip Wise show, he outdueled Phil "Four Corners" Ford that night. Good guys won, 80-72. (Yeah, I know, before most of you pups were borned.) I still hate Phil Ford.

The reason we had crowds over 12k in the 80's before was that all students were guaranteed to get into the games .
