Hope the Playoff Committee Gets It Right

Oct 22, 2017, 2:58 PM

As I recall, each year, so far in the playoff era, the playoff has had some lopsided matchups.

Year one: Oregon over FSU, 59-20
Year two: Bama over MSU, 38-0
Year three: OH-31-0

I'm not going to complain about year three, because that was priceless. If the committee is making the right call, and you have a blowout, then so be it, but the trend of blowouts in the playoff isn't a good one in my view. I love college football, but if we don't make it, and the matchups stink, then I won't be watching the playoff.

Go Tigers!

of the 9 playoff games so far

only 3 have been really close and good. Both Clemson/Alabama games and the Bama/Ohio State semifinal game wasn't bad either.

Oregon/FSU
OSU/Oregon
Clemson/Oklahoma
Bama/MSU
Clemson/OSU
Bama/Washington

were all fairly one sided

In my opinion it is still Clemson, Alabama and everyone else. A bunch of overrated teams beating up on each other.

I agree. The second half of the season will be interesting.

You honestly don’t think that Ohio State, Penn State, Georgia, TCU, and Notre Dame couldn’t compete or even beat Clemson right now? You’re not watching enough football or you’re lying to yourself. All of those teams are legit.

If we don't make the playoff's, regardless if the match -up's stink or not, I won't watch them.
Whatever postseason holds for Clemson, I will watch as long as they are playing. But once their season ends, so does college football for me.

Ill watch just like I did year 1 of the CFP and all the other BCS / MNC.

How long would I watch? Thats highly variable by how interesting and/ or money is at stake.
