He can't help himself

http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/eye-on-college-football/24440058/steve-spurrier-takes-shot-at-big-ten-team-for-negative-recruiting

Sounds like the Big Ten coach was just painting an accurate picture of Cootlumbia.

I wonder if spurlid and usuc count in grad rate

Feb 12, 2014, 1:04 PM

the players they pull schollys from before their eligibilities are up?

Would not surprise me.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

spurrier saying that they graduate players

Feb 12, 2014, 1:06 PM

I guess that's how you manage to only 4 scholarship seniors

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Brad Brownell: more losses than any other coach in school history.

The other would-be seniors must've graduated early***

Re: LMAO

Feb 12, 2014, 1:26 PM

This is nowhere close to his best class. I'd love to have Sawyer, Green, Smith, and Allen-Williams, but as a whole this class doesn't impress me.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Clemson doesn't care about basketball....as evidenced by Brown-L getting 14 years.

if they are crazy enough to play for sos, i wouldn't want

Feb 12, 2014, 1:33 PM

them on our squad. i can count on 1 hand the players they have had in his tenure that i would even let step foot on our campus. it's a shame we have to let them on our fields (and court, although they are used to that)

Re: if they are crazy enough to play for sos, i wouldn't want

Feb 12, 2014, 2:12 PM

Okay, let's take a closer look. You would only want 5 players during his tenure? Lattimore, Davis, Clowney, Moore, Rice, A. Jeffery, Norwood, Gilmore,Ingram, Holloman, Joseph , you want me to keep going? If you want to be taken seriously then make serious statements. And you really do not want to compare the number of players going to court between Spurrier and Dabo during Dabo's tenure. You are not going to like the answer.

Do better and come back. I'll be here

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

none of those players ever developed into their potential

Feb 12, 2014, 2:15 PM

sad sad sad

Re: none of those players ever developed into their potential

Feb 12, 2014, 6:04 PM

You can't possibly be serious. What is sad is that you can't engage in a rational discussion. All good NFL players, and doing well, in some cases they exceeded their potential baed on star power.
Oops, there I go trying to have a logical discussion with someone who is incapable of same. My bad.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

over half of those wouldn't even get into clemson.

Feb 12, 2014, 2:56 PM [ in reply to Re: if they are crazy enough to play for sos, i wouldn't want ]

and besides,2 of those are pretty good.

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: over half of those wouldn't even get into clemson.

Feb 12, 2014, 6:07 PM

All of those players would have been accepted at Clemson. At some point the light will come on that for you that Clemson and USC have exactly the seam entrance requirements for athletes. Exactly the same. Call your AD, he will confirm it for you and then you can come back and have a reasonable discussion using facts.

Feb 12, 2014, 2:31 PM [ in reply to Re: LMAO ]

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

i think it's characterized that way just because of the high crime rate.***

"There's a lot of crime in Columbia, the big city. They don't graduate their players,' which was completely untrue." What is not true about that.
