Has anyone ever applied for a job with Clemson University

I'll peruse the job board on occasion just to see what's available.
I've probably submitted 3 applications over the course of the past 8-9 years.
I've never gotten any type of formal response from Clemson ... nuttin ... not even a "Thanks, but no thanks" email.
Seems unprofessional ... and worse than the federal government, if that's possible.

Student services/academic advising/office work, etc. I applied for dozens of jobs. The only response I received would be weeks later; "the position has been removed, thanks for applying." I don't think Clemson hires Clemson alumni.

I used to ref and ump intramural basketball and softball games. Pay was good. 5$ a game. HTH

My mother put in 25 years with the university and I can tell you just from hearing her conversations it’s definitely a “who you know not what you know” world over there

a large % of Clemson PSA (public service activities) employees are alums. that is mainly the Extension Service, and clemson has an office in every county in the state under that program. when I hired on (many, many years ago), clemson hired about a dozen of my classmates. A lot of Extension "specialists" were also clemson alums. think that still holds true now. I've been retired a few years, so can't say for sure.
Dabo has at least 17 alums on his staff. Bb has boogie and TO, plus his admn asst. Baseball has Lecroy and Mark Davidson.
i'm sure there has always been and will always be some "good old boy" hiring. can't say that in my 35 years plus with the university that i saw anyone passed over because they were an alum. clemson, like any other business, makes a lot of hires, some good, some not so good.

I have applied and worked there for 30 years. I had the pleasure of hiring a position I supervised. To be fair most position get over 100 applicants. HR only sends us supervisors the ones that qualify for the position. So it really hard to send out emails/letters for all the apps for every position. It would be a full time job for HR alone. We were not required and being covered up with work stuff. It just did not get done. Sorry!

I have a standing application to be the first ever male Rally Cat .
I sent over my dossier in 1996, several files containing well lit selfy poses of various swimsuit and casual wear looks I might like to add to the team's wardrobe ( File # 23 - All my delights are belong to you ) .
I haven't heard back but I'm not sure they've had enough time to consider the jump up in representation .
