That’s great and all, but I can’t see Xavier Thomas getting pumped up listening to Myrle Haggard.

I don't care what the players want. They are not paying the bills. They are GETTING their bills paid ! That's the problem in our society today ! Kids need to wait their turn and EARN IT ! When they are 50 and paying the bills then they can play all the GARBAGE they want to.

Spartanburg/Cross Anchor area played Harcombe on a Friday night???....musta been about '71 or so.....they'd just changed their name from The Toy Factory to The Marshall Tucker Band as legend has it after some old mail they'd found in the nasty warehouse where they'd been practicing.

Yep. Also remember Flash Cadillac and the Continental

Kids playing Harcombe. Wipeout drummed on the beer can and then sprayed the crowd. Good times...

Don't know how I missed that, but it was before 1971. In 1971...

Marshall Tucker played in Littlejohn, opening for Chuck Berry, along with Lynyrd Skynyrd! Marshall Tucker was the name on the key to the warehouse. Turns out Marshall Tucker was a blind piano tuner who was the previous tenant of the warehouse.

Named after the great blind Marshall Tucker. They found one of his buttons laying on the ground in rock hill and liked the name!
