...and it's all about hearing, believing, and living the promise of Christ, our Lord. It's exactly what Dabo shares through his faith and practice. A fact the "media" will not, and actually CANNOT understand.

Go Tigers!!!

That’s a great story! Thank you for sharing this story. It is what truly makes Clemson as well as Dabo and his staff so awesome and unique. I had the privilege of hearing Coach Tony Elliot and Coach Brandon Streeter speak at a dinner. They talked about goals set by Dabo and the staff. Their goals for players and the team were a lot different than what I was expecting. Coach Elliott said their first goal is to visualize a player at age 30. Then they focus on making sure the player gets an excellent education and they focus on molding the kind into a good man so when he is 30 he is a good citizen, good husband, good father and a good football player during his time at Clemson. Since very few players make it to the NFL, Dabo and his staff focus on molding the player in to a man that can be successful after he leaves Clemson.

Most coaches don’t have that approach. They are looking for football players they can have for 3 or 4 years. Then they are through with them once they leave the school. Dabo and his staff stay engaged with many in not all former players. They help them if they find jobs, and provide other assistance as well. Dabo has built a special place at Clemson a home where kids become good men. If Feaster or other players do not make it to the NFL Dabo would probably help them get into coaching or find other successful employment.

This is why I get frustrated when some people spit venom at Dabo. Very few HC’s invest the time and effort into their players and accomplish what Dabo and his coaches have done with kids that come to Clemson. Dabo is a very unique and special person. He has down more for people than we will ever know. I hope Dabo’s story continues for many more years at Clemson. Then I look forward to reading his biography one day.

Thanks for sharing this Dabo story ClemsonCox.
