God bless this young man. He has been lead to forgiveness and peace within himself. This is the most important lesson that he could have learned at Clemson. I'm proud of James Trapp and his ministry to bring young men such as Corico to the real understanding of life.

another reason why it's good to have former Tigers

involved with the program.....Trapp played in the NFL for a long time and he's back home helping these young men. That's what it's all about.

Seeing Trapp's named surprised me seeing that he was kicked off the team by Hatfield. Glad to see he doesn't hold any axe to grind with Clemson over that.

FWIW, James Trapp is an amazing story

Aug 5, 2012, 3:15 PM

He was an NFL bad boy with the Raiders, but dedicated his life to Christ and now serves as a volunteer chaplain to the football team. He lives next door to my parents, and I love to talk to him every time I visit. He is truly an inspiration.

Curious about what James Trapp is up to now, I came across this:

D1 Greenville is located on Miller Road, right off of Woodruff Road and two blocks from The Shoppes at Greenridge. The facility is co-owned by former Clemson football stars Dexter Davis, Ed McDaniel, Chester McGlockton and James Trapp, along with former Furman QB Ingle Martin. D1 Greenville offers custom training programs, expert coaching and the latest in sports therapy, all in an intense, high-energy environment.

That's pretty cool.
