Football is not Basketball so quit with the playoff talk

In basketball, you assemble 8 or 9 guys at the start of the season, and if they're really good and really lucky, they have the oppy to win 6 games in a row at the end of their season to win the national championship. No pedigree required.

Football is not basketball, and doesn't want to be basketball. Football respects longevity, continuity and consistent excellence. So much so that even if you win all of your games in a given season, that alone doesn't qualify for our tournament. You don't deserve a "chance to be lucky". If you're really good year in and year out, and play other really good teams, then maybe we'll give you one of four playoff slots to show us what you got. We have no interest in seeing a bunch of 18 yr old gym rat chumps come together for 5 mos and win 6 games in a row. That's not football. That's basketball.

Choose your sport.

Nope.. how many games does NFL play? 16 reg season.

How many games does HS football play? 10 reg season.

Ok big boy.. walk into DRad's office and tell him his reg season is 10 or 16 games. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

I don't think that game is played at the school level. Parents are scared their sons may bump their head against another kids head. So they have these know it all people scaring the H E L L out of parents if their young sons play that game. But with not much else to do, they can join a gang where they play with real guns and real bullets!!!!
