Because Dabo Swinney didn't say almost the exact same thing about South Carolina last year?

Jesus Christ y'all, this is college football. Get used to the trash talking. Time to man up and grow a pair.

I got a pair and he is still a jerk. Someone needs to tell

So because I'm a Carolina fan, I am obviously not a Christian?

Makes sense.

If you are AND need me to explain what I was talking about

then NOTHING I say here will make any sense to you..... and btw I have probably as many gamecock Christian friends as I do Clemson ones......in fact when you have the same focus (the name you used in an unfavorable way), all those "lines" become irrelevant, i.e. they are all just Christian brothers and sisters.

Go Tigers!

It is college football and it is fine to throw these kinds of things around among friends, fans, etc...However, the representatives of the schools need to show a little class. Dabo's remarks were a response to Spurrier running his mouth last year. Did he back it up? Yep. Does that make him somehow less sleezy? Nope. He is a sleez bag disguised as a college coach. If he weren't a coach he'd be running a strip club out of a double wide in Wyoming. To compare him to Dabo is a farse.

Very well said. He is such an embarrassment to college coaching, no matter how many games he wins. You can't take chicken sh-t and make chicken salad, and you couldn't make high class person out of him if you hung a billion dollars around his neck.

I think you might be over-thinking this one. Spurrier is a jerk. He makes "jerk" comments. This is one of them. He's not calculating how it will help his team. He's just being a jerk.

Only one way to shut him up.

Actually, it won't shut him up much, but still...

Spurrier gets some wins and is now back to running his mouth. When Clemson beats Carolina, this should be the tag line:

"You run your mouth, we run up the score."

It hasn't been that long ago he said, "what do you want me

It would be great if they put the Dabo video of his Carolina/USC rant on the jumbotron while the players are running down the hill

It would be better if Dabo would only communicate his

feelings about SCAR by way of the effing scoreboard. I don't want to hear a coach run their mouth to a school that owns them. I want to hear a coach downplaying the rivalry because we own them.

SC OWNS Clemson currently and thats all that matters. Currently SC has a better program and a better coach. Suck it losers and get used to it. Use that ACC schedule to pad your w/l some more and boost your egos then get ready for another beatdown.

Why would we get used to something that is an anomaly?

Just because you find a 20 dollar bill on the street, doesn't mean you should quit your job. Reality will catch up with you again soon. Clemson fans just needed this little streak of depression to remind us that we shouldn't take beating you people for granted. When we beat you this year, it will be sweeter than any win we experienced in a long time. It really felt too easy before.

Typical Spurrier

[1]
Posted: Oct 9, 2012 2:00 PM

Funny how when his teams stunk for most of his tenure, everyone talked about how he was mellowing out, aging with some grace and perspective.
Now, he has a good team and he's back to his true nature - jerkwad of the CENTURY.

While I have major issues with Dabo on some things, I would never, ever pick the Ole Ball Sack over Dabo regardless of how good a coach he is. I would be ashamed of my university if he were my coach. As a parent, I would not allow my son to play for him.

While I think we will have an uphill battle against him for awhile, if we get a chance to drop a 100 points on the gamecrotches, I would fire Dabo if he didn't try for 107!

I thought the quote from SOS about playing UGA early was better because they always had players on suspension was funny. The SOS admiring t.v. guys didn't mention that he would have that problem too if he ever suspended a player!
BTW, is this championship team that we are seeing now the one that the NCAA investigated for a year?

Spurrier likes to file up the archrival with zingers. Grass is green. Sky is blue. Do we really need to dignify his arrogance with an expected response? Does it make him any less of a ######### if we get all worked up? Just let him be a d0uche. We know he's one, they know he's one, the whole world knows he's one.

What Dabo tantrum? Have you ever seen a tantrum or a freaking rant? If so that is not what Dabo done?

If you like SOS so much and think he's a cute old man then by all means join them in cola.

It's so obvious, based on my post history, that I am not a Gamecock, that you are either lazy or severely stupid. I am willing to bet both, though I'm not a betting man.

Let me make this perfectly clear...

I'm not interested in your garbage opinion of me. Either way, here is a life lesson, free of charge... Just because you disagree with someone, doesn't make them a Gamecock fan. Hopefully that one will stick.

Let's just take care of business. Beat Va Tech, win the games we are supposed to win and defeat a ranked USC Coot team and move along to our BCS game. Winning takes care of a lot of things and shuts a lot of people up as well. Let our performance on the field do the talking.

Re: Football Update: Spurrier quote about Death Valley

Posted: Oct 9, 2012 5:38 PM

I've never cared for the man. He is one of the greatest coaches ever as far a football goes, but he lacks the integrity and ethics needed to be a great leader. He and the Bobby Bowdens of the world are responsible for taking 'sportsmanship' out of the game. He could be up by 30 points late in the 4th qtr and he would throw bombs to the endzone. I may be one of the very few Tiger fans who believe Dabo's rant last year was childish. This quote by the Ole' Ballsac is no different. The difference is, Dabo had an emotional outburst. This quote by SS simply exemplifies his character. I have zero respect for the man. These things belong in the stands among the fans, not from the leadership of the teams. This is simply my opinion, I hope Spurrier doesn't campaign to have me fired from my job. Ron Morris and I will have to stand in the same soup line.

Sue me! ... LOL! It was fun, it's just a leadership thing with me. However, it did rally the troops to win the ACC. Maybe that's Spurrier's angle. Either way, I disagree with it coming from leaders.

seems more of a slight to LSU imo considering he must be talking about LSU cuz they are about to play them i think. But it also is a crack on both LSU and the Tigers, as he is in essence trying to cast a bit of doubt into both programs as to who the "real" death valley is. To which I would notify Old Ball sac; depends on the context:P He need to compare the win/loss record the coots have when playing at Clemson as opposed to playing at LSU, and then he would have a clear answer as to which place should be considered Death Valley in the context of coot football, which is the proper context that the dumbfounded Spurrier is truly seeking. Your welcome old sac:P
