Not trying to flame..

But I wish we went with racks from a better respected company like HAMMER strength, etc. Those racks look pretty cheap to me. Hopefully this isn't for football cause they have nicer ones right now.

Sorinex is huge in the Crossfit world which is very trendy right now.

Here's a list of the colleges using it now.

Yeah, too bad all the teams on that list suck...

just kidding. Well now that I look back at the list, I'm not really kidding. Lol.

Not when you're competing with this

Well these are in Jervey not the West Endzone football weight room. Still, if that weight room was for Olympic sports at Oregon and not just football, that is impressive

Understood. That tidbit was added to this post later.***

That's Oregon's football weight room

These are for Olympic sports so apples to oranges

Sorinex is one of the best equipment manufacturers in the US right now. It's not listed on the website, but they also built the equipment that's in Penn State's new million dollar football weight room.

I've used that model of rack before. That's heavy 3x3 tube steel and the welds are high quality.

Hammer Strength equipment pales in comparison, their bars bow, racks bend, etc. The stuff is made of inferior material and the welding is often sub-par. You're paying for a brand name with HS and that's it.

These racks have the 1" hole spacing, which makes setting proper j-cup and safety pin heights very easy, whereas the HS racks that you love have 6" spacing, meaning that the j-cups are going to be either too high or too low for everyone who isn't exactly 5'6", 6'0", or 6'6".

The pic is clearly in Jervey (i.e., not football)

They've had these racks in the WEZ gym since for at least 3 years.

Ya'll do know that Sorinex is owned by Richard Sorin who is a gamecock alumni and was a scholarship shot putter for them
