Love that last drill we are running

Mar 11, 2013, 9:40 PM

It teaches DL, LB, and DBs how to get off block while also teaching OL, TE, WR how to sustain them and as an adding benefit helps the RB learn when and where to cut back and find the open lane.

Hot Rod

I'm so pumped up to see Hot Rod bust out this season. He's so much more physical than I thought he would ever be... Extremely hard to tackle. Also hope Blanks head injury doens't put him behind, he is a special player who we need. with already limited numbers in the secondary.

While its good to see our O is still doing quite well, I was somewhat disconcerted at the D's ability to get off blocks. Ebo was outstanding though, dude is consistently pushing people back and getting off blocks at will. Hopefully he starts this year.

Jarett, Ebo, Lawson and Watson did well

The rest were hit or miss but most are allowing the OL to get their hands in their chest/shoulder area which allows the OT/OG to control your movement. It's a teaching tool and I'm happy that they are doing this now and giving the coaches, as well as themselves, time to see it and correct it.
