What does F$U's OOC opponent for ONE Saturday in September have to do with the ACC conference schedule?? For example, if they play UTEP or Oregon or SDSU or whoever, it shouldn't change when we play MD or when GT plays MIA...

Because if they can't find a good replacement for THAT DAY

then they may have to look at an alternate date for an OOC game. That could affect the ACC schedule of other conference members.

decent game? He!!, we play Furman (of which I am a grad, so I can talk smack), I'm sure they can find a FCS team that will gladly go to Doak - (GA Southern, e.g.)
Oh wait, they play Murray St. the week before, I can see their point...

still have not gotten a taker. The ACC is giving them time b/c it's February and the season starts in September so there is plenty of time. To quote Axel Rose, "all we need is just a little patience!"

expansion. The ACC is not blameless in conference expansion.
The least the ACC can do is be sympathetic and patient as the dust settles from the last round of expansion.

to FSU. It became official with West Virginia a few weeks ago, but you could see this coming a mile away. The Big 12 was prepared and released their schedule hours after West Virginia officially joined. Hours, not days, not weeks, hours. The ACC and FSU apparently weren't as prepared and we will likely enter March without a schedule.
I personally think that FSU should have an open date on Sept. 8th and then just schedule a non-conference opponent of its choice on the day of the ACC championship game. Not like they'll be doing anything else that day!

FSU knew when WVU started angling to join the Big XII for the 2012 season that they were going to buy out of the game. FSU should have been proactive and had contingency plans.

Hey FSU - you bunch of weenies - Boise State will kick your butts anytime, anywhere. Have you called them? Bunch of candy-azzes afraid to play real teams.

but not in Tallahassee...there in lies the problem....
BCS teams want FSU to suck it up and come to their place...and even some FCS schools have asked for a neutral site.....
Jerry Jones wants a game at his place.....FSU doesn't want to lose their home game revenue

Schools should be punished for scheduling fcs schools. Make it 7 wins minimum over div 1a schools for bowl eligibility.
If all schools played by that rule then there would be no competitive $$$ advantage to scheduling these BS games.
