Re: Football Player Update: Morris pleased with Roderick McDowell's progress

Being from Sumter, SC myself and having watched Roderick play at Sumter High....I would love to see him finally get some more playing time. I think he well deserves it this year, he has been performing at a high level this off season and I really think he can feel that roll Bellamy left. I honestly think he can make an impact in this offense in both the running and passing game. He's been a career back up his whole time here at Clemson and not one time has he ever complained about anything, he just goes out and gives it his all. I'm rooting for ya Hot Rod....heres to a great season!

You must be closer to the Lugoff side. Haha, just kidding man.

Morris said saturday that he was very pleased with 'Hot Rod' in every way but he needed to improve in his blocking. He also said that Brooks had looked good early but had hit a stone wall and had not progressed recently. He seems to think that good coaching will soon have Brooks ready to contribute early.
McDowell looked especially good saturday to me. I will be surprised if he doesn't have a big year. Especially is the OL gels and plays tough football.

most improved of the RBs and he could "trust him" to make the blocks in pass protection.

I have not seen the video but I listened carefully to what he said saturday when he addressed the reps. at the luncheon. He was sure that McD could be coached to be the complete player that we need.

The video is on TNet... He must have changed his opinion.***

I hate to be a grammar nazi but...

"Morris was said he especially pleased with the improvement of McDowell."

That is terrible, it's brutally hard to even read most of this stuff on here because of such poor grammar.
