Does anyone think there is any chance at all we don't lose these 2 this year? Shaq almost left after last season so I kno he's gone. But Alexander, even though he's 3 years removed from highschool, could really benefit from another year of college since he's a RS SOPH....and Jayron is as good as gone also. I'd be real supposed if he doesn't project in round 1 also. Someone give me some HOPE!!! LOL

Not sure #2 has any reason to stay

First off if you get a mid first round grade you leave (even more so given where he came from). If he stays it will be the same as this year where they never throw his way, hardly any breakups or int and the scouts already know he is a lockdown corner.

the achievement of a college degree is sometimes a goal.

Not just NFL cash.
“I'm going to get my degree and win a national title. That's all we're here for. To get a national title."

he was probably thinking next year is our year, but if we win it this year, will he leave without the degree? maybe so. i (selfishly) hope not. i love watching him play.

He may get the National Title this year. he will still get his degree if he wants even if he goes and takes the NFL millions early. I hope he thinks like what you are saying though.

He would be insane to trade a 1st round pick for a degree.

He's leaving after this year. 0% chance of otherwise.

so he can go pro, and then come back and finish school for free in the off seasons or when his career is done. There's a chance he comes back but I'd put it at like a 5-10% chance.

early for the draft. When you recruit the talent that we have been, this will be a regular occurrence and should be expected.....though I still wish they would complete their eligibility.

IMO... Lawson, Alexander, Kearse and Watson are ALL the number #1 player at their position in the country
All should be 1st rounders.

Yeah but Watson can't leave after this year. He's a true sophomore. Gotta be 3 years removed from HS...

He has shown enough to merit a 1ST round grade according to many - Even of he is out all year.

Definitely some homerism there.

They are all in the discussion at least though.
Good chance Kearse won't go in 1st round though just because of the (lack of) value placed on the safety position in the NFL right now. He might, but he will be drafted as a bit of a project just due to his ridiculous physical tools.

Wish them the best because they both are gone. We better enjoy watching them the rest of the season . But it's ok because the Tigers just reload.

Not everyone is like Vic Beasley & will decide a degree is the most important thing before money (he also wanted to beat Carolina & work on draft stock). When you are a 19-20 yr old & someone offers you multi-million dollars to sign with them & live their dream a college degree & their future after pros is their last thought. Dont know that i could turn it down either so i dont blame them. GO TIGERS! !!
