If there was EVER a knock on Mack

This would be it. That said, he's one of my favorite Tigers ever and a true lockdown corner.

5'10" is not prototypical for a CB today

It is a disadvantage, but it shouldn't stop him from being a shutdown corner.

Well I believe his stats speak for itself. Who knows tho college is not the NFL but I like the way he thinks! Attitude is 75% of it and he got hmthe skill.

Speaking of "once a Tiger, always a Tiger", Mack had lots of glowing things to say about Deshaun, and kept on talking about "us" and "we" (referring to the defense)when talking about his game. Dude is definitely a team-player and is someone I'm proud to call a Tiger.

Good time but I actually thought it would be a little faster than that. I remember it being said he was the fastest out of the wr's even when Sammy and Tay were here.

May have been the fastest then. 2 knee injuries later (1 ACL) and he may have lost a little, very little, in the speed category. Tough to defend his wing span, route running and hands though. Represented himself and Clemson well.

I believe there's been a misunderstanding.

It think he meant that he has good wing span, route running and hands. "Defend" made it seem the other way though, so I see your point.

Don't know who Wilkins is but...
At the NFL Combine:
Bryant ran 4.42
Sammy ran 4.43
Nuk ran 4.57
Peake ran 4.45 (official time shown at NFL.com)
You realize you are talking about 3 one hundredths of a second between Peake and Watkins. This is just the Combine. Remember Nuk ran 4.41 at his pro day at the indoor facility on campus. That was his second attempt and his first was still 4.46. Anything in mid to low 4.4's is consider top end speed. Gotta get into the 4.3's to get "elite" status.

folks wanted to say he's a 4.2/4.3 guy. Felt like he was 4.4 at best.
