his job, he'd be working as a scout for an actual NFL team and not ESPN...

The dude is about as accurate as a weather forecaster, just way less useful.

He is part scout, part journalist getting info from teams.

While he misses specific picks as that's an impossible job, he does do a pretty good of getting guys in the group that they are normally picked in. A late 1st guy by his account may go early 2nd, and early 2nd may go late 1st, but all in all Kiper does a good job of using his sources and his analyst abilities.

If he dropped Alexander and Dodd from one mock draft to the next its probably not that he personally saw anything else, its that his sources must be telling him he's wrong on those guys.

Is a NFL scout job more desirable than his? Most of their records aren't that stellar either, I bet he makes more and works less hours.

I like him. Does he miss on a lot? Sure just like the scouts do.

I'm pretty sure he's respected by most people in the NFL.

I'm thinking the biggest mistake you can make is basing your opinion of him on how he feels about Clemson players only.
