Couple interesting things going on.....

1) Renault looked to be in a really good place coming into 2021, but Cyril (team principal) just got unceremoniously sacked and they have no one lined up to take his place. Alpine could end up being a dumpster fire next season.

2) I'm not 100% sure that a deal is going to get done with Lewis and Mercedes. He's made a ridiculous contract ask, given the fact that the team just sold 50% to outside investors and revenues are down during Covid....Not only did he want something along the lines of $40-ish million a year, he also wants a cut of the team prize money, for a deal that ends up being something like $200m....oh yeah, he wants a permanent position inside Mercedes once he retires with a hand in running the team. I think George Russell might have put a serious hurting on his chances of getting anything close to this.

3) Aston Martin could look really, really good this season.....just sayin.
