Covid testing within 5 days of moving in.

Testing starts at newspring on the 17th.

Does this mean students can move in on the 22nd?

What testing 5 days beforehand do? What if 4 day beforehand you get the virus?

within 5 days, not exactly 5 days. Get tested and if you are negative you can move in, else wait until you are no longer positive. What is so hard about that? They need to have some protocols. This will also baseline everyone. Yes they could get it the day after they move in too...

While there is no way to guarantee the entire community returns to campus COVID-free, these testing guidelines will limit active cases on campus and provide a baseline of incidence in the community.

Testing the 2300 employees, and students who had been on campus during the shutdown was a complete #### show. About a 3 hour wait on average, and it took ten days to get my results because they didn't enter my info correctly.

I'm sure testing 23,000 students will be much, much worse.

The hard part is getting the results back timely. Understaffed labs are being inundated with tests.
