It's on several rumor mills. Not saying it will happen. Just reporting it FYI.

As for me, I have no idea what his long range plans might be or how a move to the NFL would fit into them.

Thanks! I'm struggling not to mention Book Guy with my self-imposed ban after I picked up a book myself during the playoff game.

So I appreciate your dragging him into this conversation. :)

I don't think anyone knows his long-range plans.

His annual forays into coaching interviews and job rumors haven't been the distraction that Chad Morris's were, but they are still annoying nonetheless.

My understanding is that he wants to be a head coach, and is waiting for the right opportunity. I haven't heard any speculation as to what his dream jobs are, and if he is interested in college, NFL, or both.

I do know that he is well-respected. He's a smart guy who seems to have a lot of potential opportunities if he decides to make a jump. Being black will help him be considered for more jobs.

Thank you for posting.

I would love Tom Herman as OC

That would be fun for the year or two it lasted...

He's like Chad Morris. Always seems to be looking for the next best opportunity.

Frankly, time in the NFL with a respectable franchise could be very good for Elliott to grow as an OC. See and consider complexity of NFL defenses and play calling to overcome. He’s worked here with the same playbook for enough seasons to become stale. Would be interesting to see him adapt and succeed.

To be honest it’s more of a fit than anything else he’s been rumored for. He’s very analytical almost to the point of unemotional which is what the league is about. On the other hand, the current political and anti-religious climate in Seattle would be problematic if the local media wanted to rake him over the coals.
