Early Signing Period

As in basketball, we need an early signing period for football. No, this would not completely solve the problem of commits/decommits, but it sure would help. If a recruit signs early, recruiters don't have to baby-sit "committed" recruits all the way to the Feb. signing date. It would give recruits a sure place on the team they want to play for and get rid of the constant contacts for recruiters. If a recruit wants the hoopla of the long recruiting process, then don't sign early!

Forget about commitments!

This is not a new idea. What is wrong with it?

IF a kid has a legit change of heart? Then he is stuck at a school. Dont blame the system, blame the coaches
