Don Munson week 2 review

Munson was not screaming as much as he did last week, but he is still terrible. I was at the game and listening to the broadcast on the radio. He missed/misstated numerous yard markings and his broadcasting skills are atrocious compared to Yanity. Personally, I think the Clemson administration made a BIG mistake with his hire/promotion to the broadcast booth.

I only caught parts being in and out of the car, but he made big mistakes every time. Most notable, not being able to say Solid Orange Half Time Show and an event where they thought they were going to break, but weren't.

this week than last week for sure. Fouling up a couple comments didn't wreck the whole game. Overall it went just fine, and it's a work in progess. Just like Yannity and Merritt were was, and I'm sure Jim Phillips had some growing pains too. If my understanding is correct, he grew into the Clemson fan he was while in the booth.
At least give ol Don a chance. Rodney and Pat both had good days too. Getting better as a team.

were magnified. Either way, I don't envision that job being his very long. I was never a huge Yanity fan either. I think it is time to begin trying to find the Jim Phillips for the next generation. I figure most current students can't recall actaully hearing Mr. Phillips at this point.

..lacked passion for Clemson. Granted Pete had a tough act to follow after Jim Phillips, but the point is it's a bit overzealous railing on Munson after only 2 games. He did fine today.

Today was the first time I've listened to him and he is bad. I didn't like this move when it happened and I still don't. Fire Munson and Bring Pete Back!!!!

He was much better than last week, but still leaves a LOT to be desired. Heard him at the beginning of halftime say "the Solid Halftime Orange Show", but then corrected himself. Didn't hear Rodney refer to the receivers constantly as "verticals" this week either, which was an improvement on bis part.

I am soooooooo glad I don't usually turn into the radio.
Munson is TERRIBLE...I couldn't listen to him for 1 min.

And the whole team will get more in tune as time goes by too. I think a little patience is in order for the new crew, but no matter how you slice it, I don't get all the hyper-criticism.

Not all of us have access to a TV or computer with ESPN 3. I work most Saturdays so I rely on the radio more than most. FWIW I think Munson is in over his head. I always thought Yanity was fine.

Its bad. It's so bad that it can't be improved enough to be worthy of listening to. I was not a Pete fan, but he was at least tolerable. They definitely missed on this one. Oh well. Maybe I can groom my son to be a future Clemson broadcaster without having to kiss Dabo's ####. He'd probably do better now at the age of 4.

Had to listen on the radio today as I was in the car most of the game.... It was horrible. My ears bled freely. I wasn't a big fan of Pete and the "Orange in the End Zone", but I'd gladly take that over this ######## any day.

to work through the game - but much of that falls in the producer's lap. Having said that, Munson's voice is just too nasal-sounding to be the lead for a 3+ hour broadcast. There's a lot of room for improvement here.

I was very disappointed. Would have been better I think if Will had been retained. Williams was about as enthusiastic as a mortician. The Clemson audience deserves better.

Did not here the first game, so no comparison there. Having said that I cannot listen to his voice for too long. Too many mistakes during the game and it actually continued thru the post game show. Dan Rad made a very bad decision on this one.
