Not 8 games left. When you hear pundints say “1000 yard back” they are always talking about in the regular season. So 12 games total. Conference champ game and bowls are on top of that but not included when they use that term.

for "personal" gain, I like to look more at yds per carry. Rather than total yards.
I would rather see a back have 350 yards on 7 carries, than 750 yards on 150 carries.
But like you said, sure. Would be nice to have a 1000 yd rusher this year. But the
offense is struggling, which comes at no real surprise.

We have at least 2 "1000 yard backs" on the team. We're just too deep for each of them to get that many yards.
