Did you see the Marine with the eye patch and all those medals?

Nov 17, 2018, 10:40 PM

I honestly do not think there was any room for any thing else on that uniform. I don’t think any military uniform was ever made with intentions to hold that many medals! Thank the Lord there are people like that.

Brad Brownell: Only Larry freaking Shyatt has a WORSE overall winning percentage among Clemson basketball coaches since 1975. Let that sink in. It's Larry Shyatt & then Brad Brownell.

Yep, that kid to played tough as hell tonight and to see him do that after the game was something. Lot of respect for that kid!

Remember the movie "Hamburger Hill" ? That was the hill that Clebe was a platoon leader on. I've heard him speak a couple different times in person, simply awesome story. His book is great also. A true living American hero.

As a 101st Airborne vet I have to correct you on this. Clebe McClary is an American patriot and hero but he did not fight or get wounded on Hamburger Hill in Vietnam. Clebe was/is a Marine - Hamburger Hill (Hill 937 at Dong Ap Bia in the A Shau Valley) was fought by the 101st Airborne Division (elements of the 187th, 501st, and 506th Infantry) and was exclusively a US Army operation in May 1969 (part of Operation Apache Snow). Simply put - there were no Marines units involved in the fight for Hill 937 which is better known as Hamburger Hill and for which the 1987 movie was made.

Clebe was wounded by the Viet Cong in March 1968 - Hamburger Hill was fought against NVA regulars in May 1969...

My Dad is friends with him- I believe they coached together- he is a great speaker. His wife and daughter won the Mother/Daughter Miss USA 20 years ago or so.

I head a chance to meet Clebe once when he spoke to my unit at Ft Bragg. His book is inspirational.

I had a few classes with his daughters. Didn't know them well... beautiful girls.
