Did find it odd that Bobby Knight didn't mention he coached

brad brownell at Indiana. Had nothing to say concerning BBrownell at all. Plenty of mention about Larry Brown and well deserved but no mention at all about Brownell as one of his disciples....

Am I missing something? I thought Coach B played for Bobby Knight.

I also don't think Coach Knight said anything about Indiana at all. Is he on some ego-directed crusade to avoid all subjects Indiana since their bitter lovers quarrel? Go to bed bitter every night Coach, you'll be so happy you did.

Knight coached B.B. high school teammate Calbert Chaney. I was a little surprised that Knight didn't mention watching B.B. play in high school.

Knight recruited Chaney for 4 years

Brownell was the other good player on the team. I'm sure Knight remembers watching him play. That Evansville Bosse team was excellent (from what I've heard from people who follow High School basketball in Indiana).

Coach Knight spoke about a few of his former Indiana players. Woodson, Smart, Alford and a couple of others. I don't really blame him for not mentioning Indiana. He had high praise for Woodson and that is where it belongs, to the kids he coached at Indiana and not necessarily Indiana itself.
