No seriously. It was his throwing shoulder he injured and that throw looked different from any throw I’ve ever seen him make.

Bad grip maybe? Doesn't necessarily mean he's still hurt or anything, could've been anything. Definitely something to watch though

Yea and the batter was kinda in his way. Did u notice too? I’m gonna watch it again after the game. Could be seeing things. It just looked like a short armed throw from pain

It did look a little short armed, but he didn't wince or go down in pain or anything so it's hard to tell. Maybe he's still just trying to get comfortable throwing again? Remember Higgy was out for 2 years with a shoulder injury as he tried to get comfortable throwing again (albeit a more serious injury). Hopefully it was just a fluke and there's nothing wrong. I'm sure Coach Lee will be all over it if there is something going on

Are you judging his weak throw based on runner arriving to base way before throw? I’m not sure how to tell ball velocity from tv. The runner was so far ahead of the throw because Cromwell wasn’t holding him on the bag up 5 with 2 outs. Runner was basically given the base and Williams honestly didn’t need to throw it.

No not by that. He clearly had it stolen. It was the way he threw it and how the ball looped to get there and had no velocity. I think we’ve come to the conclusion it was just bad grip or batter being in his way some
