Sattidy?

That was some glary, blurry coverage and it seemed like only 3 or 4 cameras.

I was surprised when the announcers didn’t have yellow blazers

Agreed - the TV picture was out of wack for most the game

I think the problem is GA Tech's new artificial turf produces a horrible glare for the cameras when the noon sunshine bounces off of it. This effect seemed to play havoc with the brightness/contrast/saturation controls on the cameras throughout the broadcast.

I thought the same thing. At first I thought it was my son't TV, but after watching the replay on my own TV I realized it was the grainy glare from the turf. Seems like someone would have checked that out before purchasing that turf.

Seemed like it was the 1980s or 90s.

It was the sun reflecting off of the artificial turf grass blades. Made for lousy watching. I kept flipping during commercials to the Tennessee-Kentucky game because the picture was so much better.

^^^ 100% this

You noticed it immediately. I had to switch to the “computer” video settings and lower the contrast on my tv to make it look decent.

and on some plays they would start out w a dark picture (closed aperture) and then open it as the play progressed (pic too light). Numerous times they did this. it was really annoying

I called my nephew (I was watching at his house) and asked him why his great TV was set on 480i...

Yes, something was just off about that game...

The grass looked reflective on my TV. Everything was blurry. At first I thought YouTube TV was the issue, so I switched over to my antenna. That did not help either.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.
