Most are just looking at Louisville with a snap shot of the moment, how long you think Strong will be there. What has Louisville been before Strong? Also why did the ACC have to by pass WV? Academics, and UCONN is #65 right behind Clemson in the Academic rankings at 61. So Swofford has to take that into whom he can chose. So Louisville is probably out and really not a huge loss as they really don't have much of a history.

Louisville may not be a great choice, but they are certainly better than UConn. If UConn comes in the ACC is clearly saying "forget football,we are even more all in with hoops." I love basketball, was a high school boys' coach, but I realize football has to be looked after first. Swofford and his bunch,Barker included, are extremely hypocritical. The uncheat scandal keeps getting deeper and includes basketball, but the ACC and NCAA turn a deaf ear. If it was Clemson,it would be in the papers every day,and we would be getting crucified. The BOT better be proactive or we are going to be totally irrevelant in this dips--- conference. Find a destination because the 'Noles are out of here and we will really be laughed at then. Recruiting will be impossible then.

Once coach doesn't make a program. Louisville is committed to football and they've invested a lot in their stadium and coaches. They'll only get better and their recruiting will improve.

But are ranked #162 in academics, that is the key

why would the ACC bypass WV and then take their twin. Bottomline is it probably isn't going to happen, cause Academics won't allow it too

Louisville is the only mentioned school that should get an ACC invitation. Those other northern schools are nothing more than a bunch of Boston Colleges.

on his show ( like that zeke (tarhole) guy )? he talks a good game of basketball, but this is football country. you talk about louisville's history, i don't think uconn has a history, in football or basketball, both sports weren't relevant untill they got calhoun and,uh, who is their football coach!(edsall left for maryland).

Who's to say they'll still be relevant much longer after his retirement? Look what happened to St. John's basketball after Carneseca left.
Louisville has a deep basketball history, and they've invested a ton in building up their football program to a fairly consistent level. Travel is also much easier, especially for an annual Atlantic division slot.

What part of they are a basement academic school(160) do you people not understand. There's no way they'll take Louisville, imagine the backlash from ND and everyone pi$$ed about WV last year.
