Swinney says there is no comparison between this year's Ville team and last year's. Very explosive on offense

Swinney says the Cards are good up front, biggest LT they will ever see. Might be 6-8, 370. Says whole OL is playing really well.

Swinney says the Cards are playing with great effort and technique and appear to be better-coached. Playing with passion

Dabo also say the Cards have some returners who can change the game. Swinney says the division is on the line...if Cards beat Clemson they are in control of their own destiny.

Dabo says the Tigers are excited about going to Louisville and play hopefully their best game of the season.

Regarding the culture change in Louisville, Swinney says, "Coaching matters. They weren't playing hard but this is a different deal now. They have some dudes."

Swinney says this year's Cards team won't quit and Clemson "will have to go and win the game"

Swinney says the Tigers have to have the right mindset to stop the run. Whoever plays with more discipline will win the game

Swinney says Potter will kick in the NFL, but has to grow up a little bit. He needs the mental toughness and focus it takes to be great at that position. "If he wants to be the guy he has to go earn it."

I know a little bit about kicking...

and it looks to me like Potter is trying to kick the ball as hard as he can on every FG attempt and, as a result, is spraying the ball all over the place.

Respectfully, I would completely disagree.
It looks to me like he tries to baby the ball and place it through the uprights from short distances.
A good kicker does swing his leg the same speed for every kick.
Obviously he doesn't need to try to kick it extra hard, but kickers are not taught to take an easy swing on shorter kicks.
Go back and watch Saturday and see how soft his extra points and the missed FG came off of his foot.
If swinging hard made him spray kicks then he would be wild and all over the place on kickoffs.
I can only remember 1 or 2 kickoffs that he has mishit all season.
I wish I could say the same about FGs and XPs.

Let me clarify...

I am talking more about drawing the foot back farther which can create poor or inconsistent contact until you gradually develop that full back swing.
It's also about leveraging your body and not just swinging for the fences just like trying to crush the golf ball every time you swing a driver.
Because there is no upright leverage with arms and overall full body momentum, a ‘crunch’ kicker will generally end up slamming the upper body down to counter that leg effort. Kickers are supposed to ‘kick tall’ on both field goals and kick offs. When done properly, the full body kick can result in a much more smooth rhythm resulting in more consistent contact while yielding even greater distance and more accurate kicks.
