Hearing from the minions of Mouth Carolina about how in # Moobs second year he will have the defense humming and his offensive weaponry is now sufficient enough to expect at least a second place finish in the SEC East , and possibly make a run at the top spot if the chips fall their way .

Expectations and reality are two distinctly different matters! I live in NE Cola and those Usuck fans I've spoken with are not predicting anything remotely better than maybe 7 wins if their team stays healthy and has some luck.
The real honest fans (very few) think 5 wins is realistic, but the first three games will readily answer the question. They could win or lose all or any.

My baby Cootbrother says that he assumes 6 wins would be a successful second year .
I think there's no way they win 6 without a miraculous win or two ...say beating A&M on the road or Georgia on the road .
4-8 is a safe bet from where I stand.

Tennessee was missing six starters on defense last year in Columbia and the Vols were a missed field goal away of sending the game into overtime.
Barring something else totally unforeseen, this is a game the Vols should win and win handily IMO.

They have to replace their QB (Higgins) who threw for 4,617 yards and 41 touchdowns and their two top receivers (Taylor and Henderson) who combined for 218 catches for 3,338 yards and 31 touchdowns.
Skip Holtz has engineered three nine-win seasons and two division title runs in the last three years. While he hasn’t gotten the credit he deserves for this, this is still game game $CU should win.
Of course, $CU has a tradition of looking bad against historically weak opponents (i.e., ElCid, UMass and WCU).

Depending on who you steal victories from and any upsets from lower ranked teams.
The tossups will be Missouri, Vandy, TENN, ARK and NCSU.
TAMU at home would be a good game, but rough on the road.
