Confusion with Caslen and FSU situation

People seem to be very confused about whether or not Caslen or someone else in the scar athletic department contacted FSU.

There was contact made but they were not inquiring about how FSU worked their buyout for Willie T.

Caslen/Tanner were calling to find out if Bob Stoops was still available.

The coots have him at the top of their list of prospective coaches and fully expect that he would accept because "they are in the SEC".

While most would not think Stoops would entertain taking the head position at scar, an inside source recently reported overhearing a conversation with Stoops and Steve Spurrier.

Stoops stated, "I don't want to be a head coach again and I've heard that after you coach there that nobody ever calls you to take another college job".

Spurrier replied, "That's true and when you get tired of the smell, you can just leave and there's nothing they can do about it".

I have no idea whether it were true or made up, but I certainly believe it could have been said just as you said. Also, if it weren't said out loud, I certainly could believe it was in their thoughts. Think of all the millions of dollars the coots have wasted trying to find some relevance and gain some semblance of respect, only to remain a laughing stock and a coaching graveyard.
