also relevant is that we beat Va Tech on the road, Miami beat them at home, and of course, they beat Syr, and we did not.

Miami is 5-0 vs. +500 teams. Ark State was cancelled. I counted it as a win in my first tally.

evidenced by the fact that they were 7 or 8 before the VT game. They went from 7 or 8 to 2 after those two game plus UVA.
I DO think the margin of the ND game matters. It should be factored in- it was an impressive win, but they have a lot of fluff on their schedule too.
I think you can make a decent argument for Miami above us, but it's close, and not the slam dunk many think.

Gonna be a slam dunk in two weeks though . I think we roll them honestly . I think they're an improved team and a dangerous team if you give them a lot of opportunity by handing them turnovers as so many have , but they've faced not one simgle opponent that brings it like Clemson does . I think their young QB will struggle and I think BV makes them one dimensional .They're defense is pretty good so I don't know that we score 40+ , but somewhere to the tune of 34-17 or 34-21 sounds about right . Go Tigers !

The interesting part about the ND game is that

Miami only had 374 yards of total offense, and ND had 261 yards of offense.
Odd numbers for a 41-8 win. That is what a plus 4 turnover margin will do for you.
UVA over 400 yards of offense last week, while Miami had a around 360 yards, but again scored 44 points.
Basically, without a 3-5 plus turnover margin over their last 4 opponents, Miami would likely have two losses, UVA for certain. The sad thing about the UVA turnovers was that all three were just poor execution by Miami; 2 fumbles without contact, and a pick six thrown straight into the hands of the Miami DB.

I guess that’s one way to spin it. Here is another:
Clemson FSU 31-13 (only led by 3 with 3 minutes left) Georgia Tech 24-10 VT 31-17 Cuse 24-27 (Unranked Syracuse lead whole game)
Miami FSU 24-20 (won on the road) Georgia Tech 25-24 ( won witnout ACC leading and top Running Back) VT 28-10 Suracuse 27-19 (dominated and led all game)

Let's not forget the tough teams we played on the road vs they stayed in the St of FL for the most part.

Exactly. They still haven’t proven that they can win a big game away from home.
