Clemson Bi-Lo

Owner of many Bi-lo stores in SC to close under-performing stores including Clemson, SC. If I had all of the money that I had spent on beer in that store, I could buy a lot more beer!

Clemson store. For a company that keeps filing bankruptcy don't understand why they waste money on that. Oh well. plenty of better choices nearby with Publix and Ingles.

You're right . Winn Dixie and Bi Lo the same owners . Word is that 200 Bi Lo stores will be closed.

That's right. BI-LO, Winn Dixie and Harvey's are part of Southeastern Grocers based in Jacksonville Fl. Publix is a different company with HQ in Lakeland Fl.

Bi-Lo stores have declined a lot.

Or maybe my standards have improved.

It seems like Bi-Lo has failed to keep up their stores and are now a middle of the road store at best. Still better than Food Lion though.

Growing up in Anderson, my lasting memory of the Bi-Lo at the Belvedere shopping center was the guy on a perch in the corner of the store with a rifle. I suppose he was there to shoot shoplifters on the spot.

Anyone else remember a Bi-Lo with a sniper in it?
