We have the same scenario playing out on Sunday that we had back in 2014 vs Illinois in the 2nd round of the NIT, except that game was an 11am Sunday tip. LJ was sold-out for that game and CU won by 1 point. Crowd was very loud for that one.

Youre calling out pretty much of all of our fans, because very few will watch the NIT over March Madness. Our basketball season season essentially ended when we didnt make the tournament.

I watched every televised Clemson game this year. Every one. The NIT doesn't matter. The season is over. I don't see how anyone can call themselves a basketball fan in general who doesn't want to watch March Madness over the NIT. I don't want watch us practice. That's what the NIT is. It's an exhibition and practice. I have no desire to watch any NIT games.

I think most fans will watch our Tigers play before anyone else. The season is not over, and again, I think most fans want to see us do well...no matter what the sport or tournament or whatever.

If we're in this thing, we might as well put in the effort with the intent to win it. Fans, players, and coaches - they care. I really think you're in a small minority. Please dont for a second believe you're speaking for the majority of fans, and certainly dont try to speak for players or coaches.

I'm with you. I will watch the Tigers play. I will admit that I am not a huge basketball fan, but I support the Tigers. I really have no desire to watch other teams play. I hate if for the players that so many people have such a poor attitude about this tournament.

You must be just learning about college basketball. It's a disappointing tournament to go to. Basketball analysts have talked about it for years on ESPN and on gambling sites. There is always a question if a team shows up with heart in the NIT due to the let down of not making the real tournament.

Okay...players generally don't think the NIT has meaning anymore. Players and teams turn it down. That's you need to know. You are correct though, maybe our team is one that cares somewhat. I feel confident they won't be heartbroken if they don't win the NIT though.

They could be an anomaly and think the NIT is a big deal. I highly doubt it though. Barely anyone else thinks it matters, so the odds are they are similar. You never know though. I hope they think it is a big deal, because I think they will win it all. I think they know it's not that big of a deal though. Nobody else will think it's a big deal, outside of goofballs like yourself.

If you're going to play in a tournament you might as well win it. And it's not like the NIT isn't full of really good basketball teams. We have a group of seniors on our team that have given everything they have to Clemson, so to end their college career with a win would be great.

I played varsity basketball my jr and senior year of HS. I played everything my whole life. You know nothing about college basketball or sports in general. Teams turn down the NIT at times. Players choose not to play in it. Ben Simmons and LSU turned it don a couple of years back. It is meaningless.

I was saying that some fans have a poor attitude, not the players. I went to Clemson way back when we only won a few football games each season. The fans were still there supporting them. My senior year we went to the gator bowl and we thought that was the greatest. We were nowhere near the top team, but the players were excited and so were the fans. It didn't matter that we weren't playing the best bowl.

Have you really looked at the Thursday-Saturday brackets vs Friday-Sunday?
I'd hate to miss part of the potential Gardner-Webb-Oklahoma game, but UNC-Washington should be later in the day. We'll be home in time to watch 5 or 6 more hours of b-ball after our visit to Where The Tigers Play.
