But Clemson is in really good shape with Gary. It's ok to get the hopes up.
Some things I'm hearing is very exciting.
Just know, there's a reason Gary did not commit to Michigan. And his momma is one sharp lady that can see through a phony.

clearly this has to be the selling point..
rivals lists him at 295 pounds...
have to think BV has to be at least entertain playing some 3-4 (shaq and wilkins would drop into coverage some so we played some type of hybrid with blitzing LB/Safeties)...
this would be crazy if r gary really does come

It wasn't even a Gary highlight, some of the plays he wasn't even involved. Like as soon as the ball snapped he was out of the picture. Just thought you might wanna find a better one to watch at 1 on a work night lol

Excellent film. The thing I like is his performance against the BEST in the country. No doubt as to why he's #1. Not to mention he seems like a good kid; smart, humble and always smiling. He would fit in very good with our program. And frankly, I'm also a big fan of his mom. She is smart, educated (multiple degrees) and isn't in awe of the Harboughs, Meyers, and Saban's of the world, or even Dabo.
I'd wager a great deal that Rashan isn't one of those elite players who end up getting arrested, gets in trouble or suffers academically like so many we see all over the country. He would be good for Clemson and Clemson would be good for him.

Are you saying this just because he decided to visit Clemson this weekend? I do think the fact his uncle is living in Anderson is a big help for Clemson, and doesn't he have another relative that is working at Anderson Univ?

With all the recent decommitments, it's obvious what's happening in the football offices in Ann Arbor. Harbaugh is going to quickly realize you can't trade high school kids futures like you trade an NFL player when something better comes along, especially when mom is involved. He'll be short lived in college football if he doesn't change his ways. Welcome home Gary. Clemson is a place that honors our commitments with integrity.

Hearing the same thing. The used car salesman routine is starting to wear itself out. Can ANYONE imagine the press this class is going to get when Gary announces for Clemson on Wednesday? Yeah, I might be dreaming a little bit. The defensive line next year has an ABUNDANCE of talent already. Adding Pinkney, Lawrence and Kelly is gravy. Gary would be the cherry on top.

I see it as mom's chance to be in the spotlight. Nothing wrong with it if she is serious. She seriously knows son will take care of momma in the end, and making sure her son is in the best place for him AND her, makes sense. I have no idea how I would handle the situation if I had a 5-star talent and every college in the nations wants him.

I don't think she's 'shopping' Rashan at all. You have to remember, everyone is coming to her, not the other way around. As she's said in the past, she's ready for all of this to be over. Her phone rings constantly. Frankly, she's in a situation not of her choosing. I haven't seen many that have handled it as professionally as she has. She doesn't buy the 'pie in the sky bye and bye' routine from anyone. If there isn't really meat on the bone, she's not buying. Good for her.
I think she's smart and has her child's interests first and foremost.

What if, Saban knows he will retire in 4-6 more years and to help foster a better relationship with the university and Dabo he is up selling us to recruits if the choose not to go to Bama? I could see that given they are friends, and it keeps kids he wants out of other SEC schools too.
Not that Dabo or Clemson needs help to recruit, but I could see something like this happening as well so Bama can try to take Dabo when the time comes. ( good thing is though is Dabo is already home )

Who follows and keeps in touch with Gary as much as anyone has been really high on us getting him for a while now. Even some of the other analyst said that anytime they talked about Gary with him he'd always say something to the effect of "Watch out for Clemson.".
