Obviously doctors feel he is ready and there isn't any

Sep 7, 2013, 2:55 PM

undue risk. Mind blowing to me, but that must be the case.

If they're are going to give him any reps...this would be

Sep 7, 2013, 2:55 PM

the time to do it.

I know he wants to play but I wouldn't let him run

Yeah but he will transfer if he doesn't

Sep 7, 2013, 2:56 PM

Get in. That's why he is in IMO

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

with the concussion lawsuits going on , do you really think

Sep 7, 2013, 3:33 PM

for one second, that clemson would risk a lawsuit for letting chad come back too soon, if he wasn't cleared by MULTIPLE dr's, and i am not talking our team doctors. come on, like my dad (dang i miss him) used to always tell me, use your head for something other than a hat rack !

He was medically cleared. Drs said the knee is fine?

Sep 7, 2013, 3:46 PM

What are they risking? Clearly you have more knowledge on this issue than actual doctors so can you please give us your insight?

Sep 7, 2013, 3:48 PM

something tells me that Kelly hid some of the pain he still has when drs were clearing him.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Just an observation

Sep 7, 2013, 3:49 PM [ in reply to He was medically cleared. Drs said the knee is fine? ]

Based on the fact that it was a non contact injury on the same knee the second time he actually had to make a cut on the previously injured knee.

but again, how was the coaching staff risking anything if

Sep 6, 2014, 5:29 PM

they're told the knee is fine? The knee not being 100% is a different story. The fact is doctors cleared him and said the knee is fine. With that information, why would the coaching staff be risking anything?

Name someone else who came back in 5 months

Sep 7, 2013, 4:04 PM

If you're the only one doing it, maybe there is a reason.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

If you go back and read all the articles when he was first

hurt at the spring game, even before the MRI, the doctors said if it was indeed an ACL tear the fastest people come back is 4 months, but most likely it's a 6-8 month recovery process. So obviously there is some precedence in the medical world for 4 month recoveries. I know Jerry Rice came back that quick. Too bad he broke his leg in his return game.

Back on basketball court 5 months to the day after blowing her entire ACL....and as proud as I am of her busting her butt to do that I'm still guessing CK has a little better rehab opportunities at Clemson than I could provide....so didnt shock me at all

They are certainly risking their reputation

Sep 7, 2013, 4:16 PM [ in reply to but again, how was the coaching staff risking anything if ]

for evaluating injuries and having a competent recovery program. They will be damaging our reputation with recruits, I can guarantee it will be used against us if we have a rep for rushing people back.
