Can we really win Saturday?

I am confident that we get the "W", but can we really win? Anything less than a 20 point win and the media will take it as more evidence for the narrative of the last two weeks (Tigers not performing up to expectations). Cover the spread, and we are "piling on" to a "down" Florida State (boo hoo).
So I guess the sweet spot is a 20-26 point margin. FSU has not been this big a dog in 40 years, yet the spread hasn't moved since it opened at 27. Vegas doesn't assign spreads to lose money. I am guessing we win something like 34-17, so I am expecting another week of media trashing.

Bar & expectations set, spectators come out to watch the "Route", don't get what they want, rabble goes on. Kind of like the first battle at Manassas (to use a Civil War analogy) when all the spectators came out to watch a Union victory, only to get a rude awakening. Tough echo chamber to get into.

we execute. If we get another half dozen false start penalties, you can look for us to drop further down the rankings. At some point, the drop will be too much to overcome.
So, YES, we need a big, convincing, relatively smooth and mistake free win Saturday, and all will be well.

Will we win Saturday? Most probably
Will we win bigly? Possibly
Will it be a struggle? FSU has talent so it could be testy for a while.
Will the sun still come up Sunday regardless? YES
No matter what happens will always love the TIGERS, and the best is yet to come. This team is still learning and growing, better get us now because by week 10 there isn't an ice cubes chance in hades that any one other than 'Bama or LSU will stay close to us.

I understand what you saying and where you are coming from. has the offense been clicking completely through the 1st 5 games? No, but FSU is averaging giving up almost 30 pts a game. I think we definitely score in the 40's and I also think/hope the close game was a wake up call for the entire team. I'm thinking the game will be more along the lines of 45-17.
