I've spoken with him three times over the last two days, and I have a story we will post in the morning based on those conversations. From those conversations and from watching his film, he seems like a better fit (to me) than Simpson. This kid is a freaking winner. If you haven't had a chance to check out his highlights, do so. This is the 6A (Texas' highest classification) Offensive Player of the Year, and in the title game he outdueled Quinn Ewers (Ohio St. commit) in a big win. Klubnik finished the game 18 of 20 for 220 yards and a touchdown, and added 97 rushing yards.

Might be something to watch over the next week for sure.

I would rather have him for sure. I felt that way all along. I see more upside. What do I know? Nothing. I just watched the film though and see Klubnik with still a lot of growth to come as he gets stronger. Dude is blazing too. 51 sec 440 is great. Maybe it's the 400 meters? I don't know what they run anymore in HS.

I feel the same way and have stated it on other posts. I’d rather have a kid that loves Clemson and wants to be there rather than one that sees it as anything else. Clemson is a very special place and not everyone fits in. Without a doubt though the culture is second to none and you’re going to play in and win big games there.

While I’m here I might as well ask. David I’m sure you know I’d DK is still on the team or not. Could you elaborate on this or is a poster just tying to stir the pot?

Thanks for your response David. Guess it’s true now. Sucks but hopefully he’ll learn and grow from this.

Yes! Please ensure the kid that he's already loved by all of Tiger Nation. A year to study with DJU, get live action nearly every game. The kids got grit. Would love to see him come to Clemson and prove to everyone he's the best QB this cycle. DW4 part II. Definitely fits Dabo's culture. I know they want him at aTm but that's not his culture...

He does have a ton of moxy. I hope his arm develops a bit though. Seems like a winner, like most on here are saying.

Seems like a Clemson kid. Hope he commits to the good guys. Maybe we can pull his 6'7" 320 lb OTas well, Kaden Sieracki. Check him out.

Looking at the 2022 QB class

David Hood got me thinking... and got me watching film (at least of all the top 100ish QB’s)... and honestly, 2022 is not a strong class at all for QB’s. MJ Morris catches my eye, but also not a strong arm. I think we were in on him early on but we went a different direction. Gavin Wimsatt is really dynamic, but never heard his name. My favorite QB in this class is Walker Howard out of Louisiana. He has a bunch of moxy and a cannon. Anyway, hope we get Klubnick, great kid with a bunch of talent, and all the intangibles you would ever want.

I am fully aware of Westlake. They are and have been a powerhouse. And I agree, he would be a great get for us. Just saying it’s a down year for QB’s and Cade may have some obstacles at the next level because of arm strength. It probably doesn’t help that I have been able to look at DW4, TL16, and now DJU.

Agreed....Westlake is the real deal. Southlake is also the real deal. Anybody that knows anything about TX HS football, knows both of those schools. We already have RJ Mickens from Southlake. There are of course other TX high schools with strong football pedigree’s. Both Westlake & Southlake are in the very top tier of TX HS football.
