Oh St pres is new. Their Old guy who had scandals in his tenure is now pres of entire Cal univ system. Explains Pac 12 reaction too probably.

(Kristina Johnson) are not "friends of the program" when it comes to athletics.
Whenever a situation arises that they are able to rein in athletic control/influence, these presidents have chosen to do so.
Not surprised OSU voted that way, much to the chagrin of most OSU students/fans.

Let Iowa and Nebraska play in the Big 12 this season. All willing teams should be offered a position in the Big 12, ACC or SEC for this season. 2020: season of the willing and Able

just came from Stanford also shelling out millions for settling sexual harrasment of athletes by a team doc for years. Probably just trying to avoid more lawsuits

Patrick is also stating the SEC is trying to get the ACC and B12 to join them in still playing.
It's not the virus - it's presidents fears of a player union. We are possibly about to see the end of amateur status in college sports.

I would love to see football this fall if it can be done responsibly.
However, if the SEC now needs the help of the ACC to save a season after the SEC just two weeks ago said “screw you” to our instate rivalries the ACC had fought to preserve, well....I wouldn’t mind if the ACC returned the favor and says “screw you” to the SEC.
