All of this news about changing the Washington Redskins name is silly. How did the indians get the redskin tag?? When the first Europeans arrived in the U.S. they noticed the natives were painting their faces red. Thus they started calling the natives redskins. There is nothing raciest about this name.

If they're trying to come up with an appropriate name, I'd suggest the Chameleons.
Many Washingtonians have changed their coloring since they left the Heartland so they can blend in with the swamp habitat where they spend most of their non-Covid time.
OTOH, Joe Biden has taken on the background color of his basement where he's been hanging out in DE for the last 6 months....
I'm just curious: if Ol' Joe gets elected, will he consider himself an essential employee and go to work in Washington? Or will he work from home until coronavirus is gone? He could be the first President since John Adams NOT to live in the White House.

I always maintain that the new name should honor prominent DC figures. Former DC Mayor Marion Berry and John Dingell Jr.who holds the record for longest-ever serving member of Congress in American history and died last year. The new name should be;
The Washington Dingellberrys.

My wife just returned from Seattle after spending two weeks with her (you'd never guess it) conservative family.
She brought home some Ranier cherries and some (ahem)--I kid you not--Marion berries.
When she told me what they were called, I cracked up and told her, "you eat the first one, and I'll watch to see if you get high."
I couldn't believe she didn't get it.

I thought that the name they liked the best was the Red Tails. Not that they don't deserve it but the name Washington Nationals already fills that need. It would kind of be redundant and s bit patronizing.
