Has announced that due to the irrelevance of the conference, the lacking of playoff contention and the inability to compete with the SEC for national championships, all current members are now considered the additional teams listed in the Southern Conference.

In addition, with competitive spirit in mind and in the interest of fairness, the South Carolina Gamecocks are now aligned with region 6-4A high school conference and UGA will still and always be remembered as the team who almost always beats Bama!
