Big Thursday

Jun 27, 2013, 9:00 PM

What does everyone think about bringing Big Thursday back?

Move the USuCk game to the last week in October or first week in November and play the nationally-televised Thursday Night game that week.

It'll be a week with no other rivalries--in November we compete with OSU-Mich, Bama-Auburn, UF-FSU, ND-USC, UGAy-GT, etc.

Move it back to a week when it will be the big draw, on national tv, good exposure for the schools (and the conferences), good recruiting draws, everyone gets Friday off from work. I think it would be pretty cool!

Watch the Ghost of Frank Howard blow the Coots a kiss!!

What say ye?

Could be interesting, but I wonder if it would lose some

luster being played in the middle of the season (and the conference slate). All the big rivalries except Miami-FSU and Texas-OU are at the end of the season. Colorado and Colo. St always play at the start of the season, which I always thought strange and rather small-time anyway. As a result, it could just seem like "just another game" on the national radar. Attendance could be hurt and Clemson opposes Thursday night games on principle. You would also kill two days of business in the state that week too.
