Best graduation gift ever

We're dropping my oldest off at college this weekend and it is making me nostalgic. I thought I'd share one of the best memories...receiving my grand-dad's 1933 Clemson diploma as a graduation gift.
We ended up getting my CU diploma framed to match.
Check out the signatures.

My grandmother gave me my grandfathers 1924 Clemson ring...
Aug 16, 2018, 9:12 AM

He wore it everyday and after he passed away, all of his children wanted it and my grandmother told them she couldn't find it.
I was his only grandchild who attended Clemson and at dinner after my graduation, my grandmother hands me a small box and in it was my grandfathers Clemson class ring.
I was absolutely speechless. She then said to me, "He would want a Clemson man to have this."
I cried like a baby and I am about to cry now just thinking about it again.
That ring was and will always be the greatest gift I have ever or will ever receive.
I wore it instead of my own for several years until it really started to show its age.

I don't think I've ever seen a Clemson ring that old.

I have it locked away for safe keeping.
In fact, I can't remember the last time I had it out.
I stopped wearing it right after my oldest daughter wa born (1994), so it has probably been Probably 22 or 23 years.
