I remember this as a student, friends camping out for tickets. It was crazy. I think we played nc state(joe smith) and wake(some guy named duncan) the next week. Always hated that Barnes moved on.

Joe Smith was actually from Maryland I believe. The NC State forward was a big white guy by the name of Todd Fuller.

I remember blue in the late 80s early 90s. Not sure when the change came.

man, i miss the layout where the students are directly

behind/under the basket. That layout created so much more energy than the current. Littlejohn used to be rowdy. Now we're leaning toward the corporate and the environment has changed. I went to every game i could make it to when i was a student. When i was at Clemson just b/c i loved being that close to the action.

I came in 1998 the year after this and i remember being in awe of those players from the previous year just walking around campus. It was awesome. Now we underachieved but still was fun to go to all those sellout games in littlejohn. Littlejohn is awesome when the students and fans are involved. It is a tough place to play. But i wonder if all that electricity is all gone.

Our signature though was that layout with the students under the basket. I understand it was probably a liability issue but man it made for some fun memories.
