"He was on the ground for about 30 seconds until the refs blew the whistle for time"

I thought we were playing FSU not Duke

Brad Brownell: more losses than any other coach in school history.

I thought they just didn't stop the play on a fast break

when FSU went into their normal offense, shouldn't the officials stopped the play for the injury? I don't ever recall waiting until the next change of possession.

Injury Time-Out

In case of an injury to a player, the official may stop play. If the ball is in play when the injury occurs, the officials shall wait to stop the game until the team with the injury gets possession of the ball. Exception: when necessary to protect an injured player, the officials may stop play immediately.

But the play should have been stopped when the FOUL occurred

Correct... we still had the ball when he got hurt because he made a pass... but they didn't stop play. They waited until after we got it back from FSU.

Is that a recent change?

besides, wouldn't an injury in the lane under about 8 jumping feet be considered "protecting" an injured player?
