Well, it's also one of the best cities in the country. Not everyone is scared of a little snow & cold weather.

With that said, I think there's little to no chance he goes to BC.

I've lived in Charleston, SC for 7 years now and miss the upstate every day. The heat gets old sometimes.

Boston is great but not for College Athletics

Anything good going on in the college ranks around here gets ignored. People on the street could not even name Matt Ryan when he was up here and putting in some good work for the Eagles. It's a Pro Town through and through.

I still maintain that admitting BC into the league...

was a mistake.
Great city to visit but ultimately, BC brings absolutely nothing to the conference table athletically. With the exception of hockey, they're pretty much bottom feeders in practically every sport they play.
The argument of spreading the ACC's footprint was a total crock of beans. Folks in that area couldn't care any less about collegiate athletics; especially Boston College athletics. Boston is a professional sports market and they care about the Red Sox, the Celtics, the Patriots and the Bruins.

Ditto......it's a northern thing. College sports are 5th banana behind pro football, basketball, baseball and hockey up north.

And if that's not soon enough they can always scrape up some cash to get Butch Jones.

Leaving CU
Oct 12, 2017, 10:13 AM
|
|
Can you imagine the stress of leaving a program like Clemson to coach another team in the same league? Every time you played against CU, you would be reminded what you left. Every conference event would be a reminder of the bygone happy days. Witnessing CU getting another ring while you wallow in mediocrity would be heart-breaking. In short, I don't see Elliott (or any other CU coach) leaving to go to another ACC school, it would just be too embarrassing for him.

I think Elliott will be a HC soon, but I don't think he'll go to a division opponent especially BC.

Someone like Scott Frost from UCF may be an option for them
Oct 12, 2017, 10:23 AM
|
|
He is a Chip Kelly disciple with NFL ties. Frost has gotten folks excited around Orlando after taking a team that went winless the year before he arrived to a bowl game in his first season. I’ll be surprised if Frost doesn’t get the Knights to double-digit wins before too long.
The problem for BC is that Frost will likely have several other suitors like Nebraska so he'll have the luxury of being choosy.
