Attention Cheese Lovers

I looked in my cheese supply today and found a block of rugged mature English cheddar (Coastal Brand) and it is something special. I think one of my grandchildren gave it to me so I don't know where he/she got it. I'll see all of them Easter Sunday so maybe I can find out the source because I'm going to lay in a supply. It's only about $6.00/lb so that's cheap for good cheese. We're just finishing a block of Kerrygold's Ballyshannon from Ireland. It's a smooth cheese, somewhat, in my estimation, between a sharp cheddar and Jarlsburg from Norway. For me, I prefer Jarlsburg over Swiss because it has a bit more flavor than Swiss.

there is something like 8 glasses of milk in every slice. At $4.99 a package it is not cheap though.

You should never chalk up to conspiracy what you can reliably attribute to stupidity. Because stupidity is a much more powerful force in the course of human events.

I don't know that much about cheese Joe, but I know that I like a sharp cheddar, and to me, Swiss cheese don't have much of a taste at all so I don't waste any money in buying it!!!

Great to know. Kerrygold butter is also excellent. Easy to find at Publix.

All good, but my favorite is a good wedge of sharp hoop cheese with a handful of johnny cakes.
