At UNC, the announcers guestimate the attendance (seriously)

and they're really bad at it too.

A couple of years ago at their spring game, the announced attendance was 25,000 but in reality, there were less than 10,000 people (if that) in the stands.

the only reason unc would've had more than 1,000 people at their spring football game was if their hoopsters got knocked out of the big dance

although I have observed an increase in the attendance at their baseball games the last few years......of course, it could just be all those football players attending their assigned classes in African-American Studies.
