I like Brownell but it's not like it's year 2 or 3. Maybe the Head Honchos at Clemson are afraid to be good in all 3 sports.

We wasted all that money on the renovations to Littlejohn. Basketball is an afterthought to this administration. NC State is looking for a coach. Georgia Tech had a new coach this year who won coach of the year. Drad is letting this program go straight to the bottom by keeping Brownell.

... you cite NC State as an example but neglect to point out that they are on their fifth fired coach in a row and they still lost to Brad Brownell twice in the past week.

Ga Tech has hired and fired several coaches during the same period and regardless of any modicum of success they may have enjoyed this season they are still not a good program and haven't bee in a long while.

Clemson fans deserve a winning basketball program! There I said it. Just saying it doesn't change much. As Clint said in "Unforgiven" .... "Deserve's got nothing to do with it."

expect, or will settle for in the next coach or the one after that.

Clemson fans want way more than that!

They want ACC championshps and deep runs into the NCAAs.

They want Final 4 appearances.

They want an NCAA title, or two or three.

Thinking that fans will be satisfied with just hiring another guy who gets us over .500 and flirts with the occasional NCAA 1st round appearances is to ignore the way Clemson fans (all fans) raise the bar with every incremental improvement.
