Yes and no.
Football is our chicken fried steak.
Baseball and Basketball are the gravy.
You can have the steak without the gravy, but gravy makes it nice.

Yes, we love football, but that identity - which some of our fans wear as a badge of honor - hurts us in other sports like basketball. I'm tired of our basketball team having to overcome the notion that we are ONLY a football school. Yes, we are a football school and that is our top priority. And that's fine. But basketball can and should ALSO be a priority. I finally believe that it is to those that matter - namely, the administration and athletic director.
Our fans will gradually come around. It is happening, not because the fans necessarily choose to support basketball well, but because they realize that they better because they have a great team to cheer for.

We can still have great success in other sports even if we are a football school. Look at Florida for instance most people when they think of Florida refer to them as a football school yet they have won National ttiles in Basketball, baseball, and women's softball within the last decade. I see no reason Clemson couldn't do the same.
