I'm pretty sure Meridith bats lead off with Beer at the 3 spot and Williams at clean up but those two could flip now that beers bat has warmed up
As far as the others it probably depends on a right or left handed pitcher.

I agree. Don’t throw Meredith into the fire. Let him work his way in and adjust. We have to remember he’s never played college baseball and he’s coming off an injury. We shouldn’t expect him to be the $hit from the start

He’s got leadoff written all over him. I don’t get to see him in practice so idk if monte thinks he can leadoff immediately. With him being in the 9 hole if he gets on base for the top then he’s essentially a leadoff guy. We will find out soon enough

With Williams catching just move Cromwell to 1st and insert Byrd/Hawkins at 3rd

I would probably move Meredith and Wharton above Hawkins, other than that it looks pretty good.

NO THANKS I'M GOOD AND I'M SURE HE WILL LEAD OFF EVENTUALLY BUT AS OF RIGHT NOW THERE ISN'T A REASON TO MOVE DAVIDSON FROM THE 1-HOLE AS SOON AS KIER IS BACK.
GIVE HIM A MONTH AND THEN HE'LL BE THERE WITH DAVDISON IN THE 2 HOLE AND SO ON.

Is Hawkins better in the outfield than Jolly? Based off Monte's lineups I would say not. Jolly would be in the outfield and Hawkins at DH

I agree i wouldn't have him in period. I was referring to the post with hawkins in the rf. Just saying if he wanted hawkins in then it would need to be dh instead of rf

I don't think anyone has argued he isn't a lead off type of guy, I think the main consensus is that maybe he should be put in the lead off position right away. You know with all the not playing for a while and facing college pitching, etc.
Plus Davidson has done a fine job at lead off so it's not like it's a pressing need.
